That was my way of admitting that I'm a cranky old fart with a bad attitude. I
just happen to love these bikes. I've had three 700s's and many more bikes in
my time. My first S was a job perk and later I bought a new one. I still have
two of these and a VF11S. I sent two S's to the boneyard (customer crashed) And
I bought one as salvage from an Ins Co. Some of the examples I've seen would
have made me cry if I hadn't been so mad that somebody had the gall to screw
one up so bad. I have no patience with driveway DIY that compromises that
bike's virtues. My buddy Rob had a CB650sc for years and then sold it to buy a
V-Max. Three years later he still misses his Hawk. I never met anybody over the
age of twenty that didn't regret selling off his Hawk. The more bikes you had,
the more it impresses you how good it is.
The guy that just posted about running up a gazillion miles on a road trip is
proof.
Gee... I wonder how many batteries he used... my turn (snicker)

I, for one, look forward to your tirades. I have them all archived, I just know
I'll need to go back to them some day.
