OK I think I am making progress. I called the local honda dealership and they set me straight with the color-letter relationship. However these bearings are all "unavailable." The parts person at the dealership suggested calling around to dealerships (especially older ones) to see if they have any laying around.
Can anyone suggest a good source for these parts? Any chance there is an aftermarket for rod bearings? When I do locate a supplier for these rod bearings do they come in pairs or by the piece? For those of you keeping score, Dennis suggested the black size because it is a good mid-size bearing to use as a starting point, given a bike with moderate age/mileage with spec roundness. Then check the results with plasti-gauge.
