Kurt you are free to think as you will and do as you will. I knew when I posted it someone would disagree, because someone always does. Germany has refused the ethanol. Here's article just found. I just wanted everyone to know. You can do with it what you want.

Long term it is going to do damage. He said a guy he knows that works there. They found the thick rubber hose that moves the ethanol would only last a month.because it is so corrosive. They had to switch to stainless steel lined cable. What he also said that of all the blends the premium has the least ethanol to get the correct octane. And now with the corn shortage there is virtually none in the premium. My thought, I am not going to ruin my vehicles with that, if I don't have to. I can only imagine what that corrosive stuff does to the rubber parts and o rings in the carburetors. I am sure everyone will have a different opinion, a cost vs. condition of your bike, but I just wanted to share this info with you. My buddy Harley friend tried to tell me this 6 months ago, but I didn't get it. The question is how long till the serious damage starts to show up. This is on a 650? You should bleed both calipers, each in turn. On the 650, there should be a bleed valve on the left side of the bike, on a cylinder shaped thing just above the engine case. You are correct, there is a clutch master cylinder and it is on the handlebars, you bleed the clutch much the same way you bleed the brakes. -Kurt On Fri, Aug 24, 2012 at 11:41 PM, Gibs <[email protected]> wrote: So I just changed it... I hope I did it right, it works answer it's a more responsive I think. I only drained it from one caliper though, is it supposed to work like that? Also I looked in the clutch master cylinder (or wtvr the lil box next to the clutch is called) and its all brown and not clear, how do I change that? I took it out to test the brakes and make sure it runs normal, and found the shifting got really weird and all of a sudden it's hard to shift down. I also started hear a sort of rattling noise as it revs around 3k rpm or more :-( what's going on?? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
