I am a member of the OBC and ride weekly. My second group ride was with the
tour leader Barbara Wilson, and if wasn't for the riders that I met back at
billings that day and my first ride with Sir James , I would not be riding
now. Her comments that day were not tastefull, especially to a new rider,
to say the least, but how times change, i had the experience of riding with
her on another ride when Tom was the tour leader and her comments that day
where like black and white, it funny the comments we make to new riders
verses a rider that we think is good or more experienced.
I am not a troll nor am I a society misfit. But typical of the OBC if
everything isn't said perfect we ignore it. i have tried to make a
constructive comment but as usually the higher ups do not want to deal with
any problems, they ignore or call you a social misfit . I guess that is how
to fix the problems, and we wonder why some people come for one ride and
never return again.
Does it really matter who I am, the issue should be dealing with the problem
and seeing how it can be fixed. From all the negative feed back you think i
am stupid enough to use my real name. I haven't seen one email asking for
any suggestions how to deal with problems of any sort in this club, i guess
we don't have any problems we are a perfect club.
Many riders have expressed there dismay at riding riverside at 5:30 on a
tuesday night ride, and like last tuesday night riding the side walk over a
bridge in rush hour. What we need is more of these people expressing their
opinion on the email list. Is the board of directors or the touring director
going to address this concern of the riders?
I am sure there are many people in the club that have concerns they would
like to have addressed, but knowing how they would be ignore or looked upon
for expressing an opinion I can see why they say nothing.
