The objective was to express and opinion as I have read here so many times,
my objective was not to complain but to express concern, as human nature we
read into and out of a message what suites us. The comments posted here by
the president of the club made me stop and shake my head, I thought it very
unprofessional his choice of words, I have not once name or named called and
nor well it ever be my intent.
I thought by expressing my opinion here we could get some others to do the
same. Most people just seem to grumble in small groups and when directly
asked act as there is nothing wrong.
I am not saying that every group ride is bad nor am I say that every group
leader is a bad leader, what i have asked is there something that can be
done so that the tour leader has control over the group, as I have stated
earlier, people have read into and out of my messages what they see fit. If
some of the people here put as much energy into make good group rides as
they do in writing there snip remarks, I wouldn't had the need to write
these messages.
Yes maybe this was the wrong place to express an opinion on tour riding but
when I ride I never leave without thanking the tour leader for the ride and
most of my fellow riders.
I go for the weekly rides to meet people and socialize as most of us do.
It is a shame that instead of people writing to express ways to make better
group rides we get angry people writing.
looks like this is another live and learn experience of the OBC, instead of
getting good ideas we get nothing. What a shame!!!
