ADT called me a couple of times late yesterday afternoon to report my alarm activating (probably caused by the wind lifting the pool blanket). On arriving home, I checked the activations, there had been 3, with the last one being at 16h58. At 9pm, my door bell rang: it was ADT responding to the last alarm activation - 4 hours later!!! Again, these were 'false alarms', but would would happen if they had been real?
I have in the past complained to ADT about their response times, as I have previously received calls many hours later - their reponse was that, when the wind comes up (which is more often than not in CT, and Observatory in particular), alarms are activated and they don't have sufficient staff to attend to all the calls. Scary stuff, indeed. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Observatory Neighbourhood watch" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
