Have you even checked the website recently?
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/: "The Open Gaming Foundation is a
private organization, and it not managed by or overseen by Wizards of
the Coast or any other game publisher. Correspondance about the
Foundation, this web site, or the Foundation mailing lists should be
directed to: Ryan S. Dancey "
AND
http://www.opengamingfoundation.org/foundation.html: "The Foundation will
be the banner-carrier for the Open Gaming movment. The Open Gaming
concept is based on the Free Software GNU General Public License created
by the GNU Project. Additional information and many useful links can be
found at the Open Source web site.
The Foundation has an official position favoring the use of the Open
Gaming License. However, the Foundation will support the distribution of
any Open Gaming project regardless of the license used, provided that the
terms of the project conform to the two definitions listed above.
Nothing on this web site or in the various Licenses assocated with Open
Gaming should be construed as a way to stop anyone from selling Open
Gaming products. However, the Open Gaming License prohibits any person
from requiring the payment of a fee or a royalty of any kind to copy or
distribute Open Gaming material."
So where is the confusion about what the OGF is trying to do and its
relationship to open gaming?
