I never said my example was totally perfect... But, you are right. I'd like a 
game where you got XP for being smart, not running around killing things. 
However, every game is that way. I do remember 2E giving out bonus XP if a PC 
used a special ability, like a wizard casting a spell or a thief stealing. I 
wish they'd have left that in the new Ed.
