[Winona Online Democracy]
DO NOT slow down the speed limit. It will only cause those of us who like
traffic to move and feel Winona drivers are too slow now to increase our
road rage and take unnecessary chances. We need several one-way streets
where traffic can move and more stoplights synchronized to move traffic
smoothly at high volume hours.
In our experience of driving throughout the United States, we have found
only the smallest towns in the least developed areas to have speeds limits
slower than ours.
We also need fewer access points to Highway 61 so traffic can move there and
signs like the state is erecting in other areas that tell slower drivers to
move to the right lane on Highway 61. Perhaps then people who are going to
turn left on Highway 14 would not start their turns on Huff Street.
How many more people are we going to kill at the Fleet Farm entrance before
something is done there?
