[Winona Online Democracy]

I am concerned with this line of thinking ... Courtesy and patience seem to
be forgotten when stepping behind the wheel of a vehicle these days. We do
NOT need faster speed limits or wider streets, we need more courtesy and
consideration for the other people on the road. I live on a street which has
a 35 mph speed limit and I am terrified every day I drive on it because
there are many small children who also live along the street. As I see
people driving at or above that speed limit one of these days someone is
going to kill one of these children who don't yet understand how dangerous
this traffic can be.

I do agree that we need to find ways to restrict access along Hwy. 61
without hurting the businesses who need this traffic. And perhaps just a
refresher course in the fact that slower traffic should stay right would
help.
