[Winona Online Democracy]
I am a native of Winona and have seen many old houses and buildings
destroyed. Does anyone remember Central Park? Now a half a park and a
Post Office. What about the "old post office?' It was a beautiful
building, old but beautiful. How about the First National Bank?
Another landmark gone!! Thank goodness Merchant's Bank made it through
all the tearing down of buildings.
I only hope the courthouse stays in all its gory!! It needs to be
restored back to how it was meant to be. I cannot imagine Winona
without its Historic Courthouse.
