[Winona Online Democracy]

Hey Joanie...thanks for the thoughts on the courthouse...but don't you
think that a courthouse should be a courthouse?  I really like the idea
of remodeling the courthouse as a judicial center, as duane peterson
suggested, and adding on to the annex if they need more space.  We can
restore that grandeur to the courtroom, and use the buidling as it
was intended to be used.  Also, I think that building is too huge a
burden for the county historical society for the the Polish Institute.
If the county moves out, I honestly believe that the building is at
risk.
