[Winona Online Democracy]

Cherisa, I would assume there is insurance money to cover the cost of the
repairs. Maybe someone on the County Board would be willing to respond to
let the public know what the value of the insurance policy is.

Quick decisions at this time are not easy nor appropriate in my estimation.
However, I am waiting like others online to learn what really happened at
the Court House. Why didn't the alarms sound when the sprinkler system
failed? Why did it take until Wednesday to get a disaster truck here to
start cleaning up? Whether one has a new or old building, the regular
maintenance and checking of the systems is part of good management. Is it
true that there were signs of water damage in the ceilings of the court room
on 4th floor for sometime? Are there not maintenance people on duty over
the weekends to check the building periodically? If so, when was the
building last checked? I have more questions than answers. Does anybody
know the answers to these questions?
