[Winona Online Democracy]

Hello Terry and Winona Online Democracy,

What a great set of discussions.

Terry has made a very important point.

Many people desperately need any amount of money to help them with heating,
child care, medical, food, insurance, or other basic costs.

Here is another perspective I would add.

I would say we are now talking about (at least) two separate issues.

One is the embarressing lack of public INVESTMENTS in our public schools.

Another issue is the unfair tax system we have in Minnesota and the country.

Other related issues are the lack of guaranteed health care coverage and a
guaranteed living wage that almost all other developed democracies have
available to their citizens.

But to stay focussed, more education INVESTMENTS....yes.

A fairer tax system that is more fair and efficient for common working
people...yes.

Two issues that are related but separate.
