Folks,
I think it's not that much of a problem. Since we're generating a
prototype, I think the MC Starter Kit would suffice for our needs for now.
If someone needs to write a script that is longer than 10 lines, either
split it up and call another object to continue (being able to pass
parameters by reference comes in handy here), or she could devise the
script in SimpleText and then send it to a collaboration member that owns a
full version (like me) to have it pasted in.
If Scott gave two or three additional copies to certain selected people in
the UI department, that would be more than enough, I guess. If we discover
that there's someone who makes very good contributions to the UI (that is,
several people say that what he did is cool) who is almost going mad over
having to split scripts, we could give a copy to her, too.
Anyone discover any flaws in this reasoning? So far I think it's the most
feasible and will save Scott from license tourism and keep much of this
hassle off our minds so we can enjoy writing OC.
Cheers,
