No, don't think that's the problem. I've defined the correct settings/modes for 8, 16 and 32 bpp in my XF86Config file. I'm running default 16 bpp, which is no problem for whatever I'm running under XWindow (runlevel 5); also OpenDX shows beautiful images, EXCEPT that colourbar in the Colormap refuses to show correctly the colour spectrum.
Can't see how that's related to XConfig settings, though I'm not an X guru; I do believe that something is wrong with the Colormap colour "interpreter". -Rob- [latest 4.0.9 OpenDX (with OpenGL & LessTif), XFree86 3.3.5] Suhaib Siddiqi wrote: > > Don't you have to define 16 bpp colors stuff in your XConfig for > X-server??? > > Suhaib > > A problem that seems to be "linux-only", is the colour > > bar in the dialogue > > window of the colormap module. > > It shows the correct colour spectrum in 8 and 32 bpp; > > with 16 bpp it shows > > scrambled colours. > > (Haven't heard of this occurring on other platforms). > > > > The most recent 4.0.9 has dealt with the previously > > incorrect behaviour of > > the Frame Control (Sequencer) under OpenDX+LessTif. > > > > -Rob-
