Hi Marilyn,

It's probably lactic acid build-up, Marilyn, from staying in the same
position for too long. The muscles become starved of oxygen and release
lactic acid which is felt as achiness/tenseness over the next few days until
your body cleanses itself of the 'toxin.'

So my advice (ignore it if you wish) would be to move around a lot. Don't
stay in the same position for ages. Find a position that is comfortable for
you - listen to your body.

And if you do have lactic acid build-up then do gentle stretches, like yoga,
to improve circulation to that area and help your body cleanse itself.
Stretch whenever you feel achy/tense.

Thankyou for supporting women. But don't forget to look after yourself.

Birthing Beautifully,
Jackie Mawson.

Too many Gods;
            so many creeds,
            Too many paths
             that wind and
                 wind,
            When just the art
             of being kind
             Is all the sad
              world needs...
