Great ideas. I would add 2 phone books taped together is good for midwife or others, My birth kit is in a plastic picnic basket with lid either of which can be sat on by me or the lid acts as my tray for gear to be moved if mum goes to another room Also sometimes we can let go of being that close and hands on with more women than we originally think. For some women to turn on those hormones and let go requires to be intimate with their partner or mum with lights low and their midwife sitting in the hall, waiting listening, encouraging their being intimate!!??
