He is an old cadre of the PAC and served in the APLA ranks when the organisation started training recruits militarily from 1964 onwards. He is credited with opening the channels for training guerrillas in Egypt (during Nasser) and in Libya soon after the coup led by Colonel Muamar Gaddafi. I guess he fell victim to the abuse of cades in exile during the turbulence inside the PAC and he went solo for some time. He was married to an Egyptian woman. I'm told sadly that he died about six or seven years ago. He made big hoo-haa for joining the DA and was in the media for some time - and since then he slipped into oblivion. In all fairness, characters like Mayekiso, Nyakane Tsholo (who led the march on Sharpeville police station on that March 21 fateful day) and John Ganya, "Two Million", Tshehlana Tshehlana and others who sustained the Party during very dark days, made the PAC tick but are hardly acknowledged when the history is told. This is wrong. These ordinary members of the PAC are the cornerstone of the organsation and have served selflessly.
