Glad you got the OS 9.2.1 update running. Looks like you did a few things
different than I did, but it works and that is the key. I am sure there are
more ways to install OS 9.2.1 than there are version of the Macintosh.
As for the 9.2 splash screen.
Open resedit.
You will need to make a copy of the 9.1 system file
You will need to make a copy of the 9.2.1 system file
Open the 9.2.1 system file and find Pict. Click on the only listed resource
in that open window and scroll down until you notice the splash screens,
there should be 6 I do believe.
You will notice that each one has a number, called a resource number.
click on the first one and copy it from the edit menu.
Open the 9.1 system file. Open the Pict resource just like before. Click
on the resource in the open windown. Find the same resource or splash
screen number/image and click on it and paste and you will now have the
9.2.1 splash screen in the 9.1 system file.
You must do this for all of the splash screens in the 9.2.1 system file, as
I said I do believe there are 6 of them
