The crash just might be the same as the one I had.. the Ethernet drivers in
9.2.1 are only for built-in Ethernet for Imacs and above.. you might just
need to remove the apple Ethernet in 9.2.1 and replace it with your Ethernet
extension or driver from 9.1.
For instance I froze when attempting to connect by DSL after 9.2.1 because
it was using the Apple Ethernet driver to try and connect. I replaced that
file with Ethernet CommII and everything is fine. CommII is the comm slot
II Ethernet card I have in my 4400.
