Hello

Well, I have been thru it twice and no luck.Alwasy loose System Folder
Icon when move "new" OS9.2.1 System Suitcase into the system folder

Steps 1-3 seem "mickey mouse". easy to follow

But now step 4. hexadecimal stuff.
OK my machine ID is 68. Got this both from Apple System Profiler and
GestLab.
OK my table tells me Decimal 68 is hexadecimal 0044. Right?

went back to my basic OS9.1 , installedin a separate hard drive for
"experimental checking"
Using Resedit, I then open gusd resource in OS9.1 System File
The first column is the machine ID in Hex ,right?
Starts with 00000008. Right?
But there is no 00000044 listed!. it jumps from 00000040 to 00000048
So what is my backup OS9.1 machine booting on ?
I think this is my basic problem. Something does not add up
any ideas?
thanks for your time
