Thank you. This looks promising. Here's where I am: there are two computers,
networked through Ethernet. So, Appletalk is set to "ethernet". In order to
use the HP 4ML, I downloaded and installed LocalTalk Bridge. That allowed me
to print locally, without resetting ApleTalk, plus, as an added advantage,
the printer is usable from the second machine. 
The printer is plugged into the printer port. I am writing from work, so I
can't look at LocalTalk Bridge's control panel. Does anybody know if this
setup will allow me to use the modem port and still use the printer as
described?
