KEN WROTE: >"I've got a horse right here, his name is Paul Revere . . ."
I'm still trying to name that tune. . . >My first action with funny mice is to take out the track >ball and clean the rollers with denatured alcohol and >a Q-Tip(tm). Did all that but haven't tried that mouse again; I switched to another that I had serviced. My latest problem is my first repeating crash pattern on my 9500. I booted with a Norton 6 CD and ran that. Ran TechTool Pro But still the pointer freezes after all the extensions have loaded just after the HD icon, and the date and time pop up in the upper right. But if I start with extensions off it boots up? The whole freeze thing started while using Real Player and listening to downloaded links - prior to that I was trying to get more than 31,200bps out of my 56K modem. Sound familiar? Thanks R.A. as well. . . (have you tried another keyboard?) Terry (writing from the Centris 610) -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
