User preferences are stored in two different locations and NS7 does not use any of the old NS4.7+ extensions. I cant see how deleting the old browser makes the slightest difference. The site http://www.buck.com/cgi-bin/do_hamcall doesn't work here on NS7.01 with "direct connection" set under proxies where it does if set to look up my ISP web proxy. The Mac version of NS7 differs to NS4.+ in the way it handles looking up and transferring info. Hopefully someone can explain much better than I. NS4.7+ should not be removed if you only use NS on your machine, you will limit the sites you can view and be blaming microsoft or the webmaster unjustly.
