My understanding is that SBC will provide "DSL filters" (for a price) to allow phone or fax usage while connected -- guess this means it is ASDL.
I have SBC DSL. It is great. You get a regular telephone line and a DSL line. Two different jacks.

No, just one dynamic IP
ADSL means Asymmetric. Meaning that you get stuff sent to you (Downloaded) really fast. Up to 1.5 Mps or something, and uploads are like 128K........which kind of sucks. SBC does offer upgrades in that department as well.
