1. Do spammers complain about spam?
2. Would it be spam if someone sent an email advising everybody to never - ever reply to any spammers.
Then
Would it not be nice if that were the case and these spammers would stop spending their money on these address files knowing they would get no response?

And it's *still* always September on the net...
Bruce,
Thanks for the delightful quote (above) and commentary!
Most of the spam I have received lately has been from predatory spammers attempting to take advantage of the "new college kids." To be brief, a few weeks back we decided to purchase a laptop for my nephew who will soon finish high school and go on to university. I bought the laptop from a well know company via their website. I also visited the site of the university he will be attending to find out if they have recommendations on configurations. And, I visited a couple of sites that sell the discounted "educational" software to students. Somewhere in those site visits some nasty-words-deleted group harvested my name. I am getting five or six offers per day to "purchase" a university degree.
Yeah, I find the investment banking, aluminum siding salesmen and body parts enlargement spam annoying. But the ones that prey on the young and stupid really piss me off. They are the ones I turned in to SpamCop.
