While PC users upgrade machines very 2-3 years mac users can go with hardware upgrades and keep a machine for 10 years (isn't that a selling point?). The thing is sooner or later even they will trade up and buy a new machine, most likely another mac. If apple starts obsoleteing 3-4 year old hardware because new software won't run oj it (OS 9.1 era machines) to make you buy new machines (which is what they make money on), people will start to re-evaluate their investment and maybe go with a Wintel machine. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
