People too damn cheap to buy a new mac (and it's not every 3-4 years!) will go buy a Wintel and buy all new software (and all new troubles to go with it)
Riiiiiigggghhhht!.
Correct ! This list is evidence that we will not go buy wintel boxes just because we can't have the latest and greatest toy. That would have happened long ago when peecee's got really cheap and the Mac software shelves disappeared from the stores.
We are still using PCI Macs....enuf said.
Apple simply cannot afford to coddle the cheapskates and stay in business.
Hey, I'm not a cheapskate, I'm poor white trash...........
Hey, I'm just plain poor. I spent $150 for a Sonnet G3 card. Beats the hell out of buying an Intel-based box or a "proper" Mac G3. Saved a ton of money.
Once I get an internal CD burner for it and a broadband connection, I'll be content to use this Macintosh until either it or I die.
