Was this an Apple Store? No. Then it's MICROCENTER'S job to train their salesmen.
This is why Apple has opened Apple Stores, in fact, over their frustration with the poor training and support from the third party stores like Microcenter, CompUSA and Best Buy.
Let me tell you! There's a Micro Center over in Cambridge. The only time I'm there for Mac stuff is to buy SCSI cables, ribbons for the ImageWriter, etc. Even before the iMac and the demise of the PCI Mac, these folks were less than on the ball when it came to Mac stuff.
Of course, as I use a PCI Mac and OS 9.2.2, the Apple store in Cambridge is also pretty much useless as a resource for me.
