And the PB users, are still doing so, and just to keep this Ok for PCI; if'n you've got an extra slot to add in a PCMCIA PCI card, it should then be possible to push in a flash memory card in there, format it for HFS/HFS+, put a minimum System and a small app. or two on it, bootup with it as Startup Disk, and wa'la low Ram overhead n no HD hits, or so it is rumour'd, and I do wonder, if'n anyone has really accomplish'd such a unique feat on a PCI Mac though? > So thanks Bill for bringing mew back to a solution I had long > ignored. Depending on the OS version running, I do believe that the old RAMBuncious(sic) may still be downloadable(umich?/ amug?) , which IIRC was a purty cool app. in it's day back 'round OS7.6-8.5 , or so.
