Ralph, I'm not presently on win2k but I know you can enter the services
panel to see all the different components that get started in win2k from
the kernel and explorer to all the programs you have installed. As you are
likely already aware, there are so many features in win98 that receive a
much more intuitive interface in win2k. This link may be of use to you here:
