There is a program called Startup Control Panel that will allow you to
manage programs that are starting as programs in Win2k. You can find it at
http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml . It runs as a control panel applet.
Pretty good program. I use it.
You have to remember though that Win2k and NT are really different than
Win9x in the way some programs run. The services program in Win2k will show
you executables that are running as services but you are probably better off
to leave those alone. Startup Control panel will show those programs
starting at boot as normal programs like those in Win98.
