Thanks much for this info - it is very appreciated.
Now if I could only figure out how Office2K screwed up my registry on
the Win2K machine I use at work, so when I uninstalled Office2K and then
installed Office97 (involves over 10,000 licensed copies of Office97 -
the organization still is using Office97 as the standard because of
this), and went into Access97, Access will NOT import Excel97
spreedsheets, which should be a given. The way around the whole problem
was to export the spreedsheet as a DBaseIV file (DBF) and then inport
that into Access97. Any ideas what might have happened to mess up this
setting in Access97??? I have tried to uninstall Office97 and re-install
several times, and clean out the registry of all traces I could find of
Office, but the problem still exists.
