For all on the list, This subject came up a number of years ago, and the best approach was the one of putting the most current response ALWAYS at the top, rather than at the bottom.
The issue deals with a more important one that came up, and that is NOT all the readers of this list are without visual issues to contend with. There are a number of members of this, and other similar lists, that have visual issues to contend with - some just need to have the messages displayed in larger fonts. BUT a number are totally visual disabled, and have to use equiptment and software that reads the messages to them. IF you post your response at the bottom, a person that is having to deal with this issue has to go through all the material previous before they finally get to the most current information. And it is TOTALLY unfair to them to have to deal with things when the solution is to just post a response at the top. If you dont have a visual problem, you have NO idea what someone that deals with this type of problem goes through. ESPECIALLY, in the early days of windows, when there were NO programs that could handle the gui interface. Luckily, that set of issues has pretty much been put to rest these days. Having seen what individuals with disabilities go through, in many cases, just trying to deal with the issues of everyday life, can be unbelievable.
