by the system. The rest is a REAL mess. Something is executing in the background
and painfully slowing down everytying. I should run msconfig and disable as many
startup items as possible (and check if something is running fron the .inis as
well. After restarting, run task manager and see if any
suspicious process is running besides the few normal ones. Run cwshredder
and try to run Adaware again.. if not possible, try safe mode. If it goes on messing
up, backup your most important files to CD or DVD, reformat the HD and install
XP (reformat from the XP CD and be sure to use NTFS)
Don4t waste your time with McAfee, AVG is good enough.
Get rid of ME as soon as you can (it's the buggiest Windows I know of...)
XP should perform MUCH better.
good luck
PD If not stressed enough, at the point you are, it is time to reformat and
upgrade the operating system...

Oh, and I forgot to add, in the Temp folder, there's a file called,
~dfde48.tmp. I tried to delete it, but it wouldn't let me. It claims it's in
use, but I had nothing else running at the time.
