I disagree with you there Alan. I think Sigma's EX line includes some really good lenses e.g. the 70-200 2.8, and the lens construction isn't flimsy. Furthermore, it's incredibly good value considering what you'd pay. If you look at the cost difference between the FA 28-70 2.8 and the EX 28-70 2.8 (which are both reasonably sturdy lenses which photodo rated the same optically), unless you have a lot of money to spare, you would consider Sigma's offering (not to mention it stops down to 32). I don't think you're being very fair making a sweeping generalisation like that. Can I say I sense some snobbery?
