Let''s all wring our hands in unison. We're getting a ten megapixel D, probably with image stabilization, but we're not getting it right now. Horrors.
Image stabilization built into the camera body would be very nice. I would just like to have the 10 megapixels, faster speed in focusing, faster shutter response times, faster file writing, a "tilt sensor" in the camera that created "vertical jpeg" images when you titled the camera on its end, and to write the focal distance into the EXIF data (not the focal length of the lens - we already have that. I'm talking about the distance from the camera to the point in space that the camera is focused on at the moment of the exposure.)
Also, I have to be honest. I don't have the money to rush out and buy the new 10 megapixel camera, if it were to come out next month. If it takes till late fall to arrive, that won't be a problem for me at all. It will probably take me longer than that just to save up the money for this little jewel. ;)
