Hi Markus,

TIFF file size is atrocious.
For family snaps and casual walkabout/trekking etc, well tuned jpeg is just
fine for me.  If and when I find something interesting during shooting, I
can always switch to RAW (I know my K10D has RAW/jpeg mode, but that's
another story).
I am not deliberately sticking to jpeg.  It's just jpeg is suffice and even
convenient for approx 70% of my shooting.  I have not developed the
habit/idea/reasoning of shooting "everything" in RAW (and please remember, I
do "print" most of what I shoot).  That's all, not much more than that :-)
