Generally, it's a sort of "putting on the brakes" feeling to me. I have like concerns about style/subject tendencies influencing we "judges", but it may be that Pentax is wanting to stem the tide by accepting fewer and fewer images. In the beginning there was probably an effort to quickly build a gallery to stimulate interest..or not. When this current gallery contributor judging was announced, I understood that the actual judges were going to have the final say on both "yes" and "no" votes. I fail to see how that would save them any time. Under the current judging system, I've had one quickly accepted and one quickly declined.
