Ken can probably confirm this.
One of my friends is a very long term auto insurance adjuster. Apparently, 
every time the auto manufacturers have put a new piece of safety equipment 
into their vehicles, accident rates increase as the new feature starts to 
saturate the market.
He mentioned ABS brakes as a huge accident contributor as the reality is 
that ABS increases panic stop distances.
