One of my friends is a very long term auto insurance adjuster. Apparently, every time the auto manufacturers have put a new piece of safety equipment into their vehicles, accident rates increase as the new feature starts to saturate the market. He mentioned ABS brakes as a huge accident contributor as the reality is that ABS increases panic stop distances.
