We used to call those guys "Sports Rambo". One of the prettiest things
I've seen was two Sports Rambos, in the rain, turning left on Turn 1
at Sears Point, doing a synchronized spin and continue.

For folks not familiar with racing classes:

Sports Renault, which became Spec Racer Ford after a change in
powerplant is a class of identically built purpose built racecars
where the only thing that people are allowed to change is the
suspension settings. The motors are sealed, and they run a spec tire.

When I was driving a first gen Rx7, I loved them because the cheapest
way to get a competitive advantage was new tires, so I could buy used
tires for my track car really cheap.

Nowdays, ours are too. It has become what production was 30-40 years
ago. Also, with the economy, I hear that SM only has fields of 35-40
cars rather than 65-70.

The first step is learning to take great photos,
the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
