I'll have to get a copy of VueScan. I have an Epson 3200 scanner that is currently inoperative. Epson offers a driver for it that worked on my previous system. I don't know if it would work with my current system because the installer crashes on both of my computers. The scanner is quite good. I use it primarily for scanning old prints that I sometimes need for editorial projects. It's fine in that role.

I haven't even bothered to try to move my Canon FS4000US USB film scanner.

that model is supported without drivers by VueScan, which is cross- platform, and the only scanning tool i use; at first i missed the integration with Photoshop, but i've come to really like most of VueScan's workflow

i am just a happy customer for 11 or 12 years (which means a VueScan lifetime license was very cheap for me)
