I'll have to get a copy of VueScan. I have an Epson 3200 scanner that
is currently inoperative. Epson offers a driver for it that worked on
my previous system. I don't know if it would work with my current
system because the installer crashes on both of my computers. The
scanner is quite good. I use it primarily for scanning old prints that
I sometimes need for editorial projects. It's fine in that role.

that model is supported without drivers by VueScan, which is cross-
platform, and the only scanning tool i use; at first i missed the
integration with Photoshop, but i've come to really like most of
VueScan's workflow

i am just a happy customer for 11 or 12 years (which means a VueScan
lifetime license was very cheap for me)
