I don't have PSCS4 here at home, but LR and CS4 both use *exactly* the
same features and dialogs of the driver. You should be able run CS4 in
32bit mode, just go to the Get Info dialog and set it to use 32 bit.
But if that is the case, then the problem isn't with the Epson v6.57
driver ... it is with CS4. CS4 and LR2 also have other weirdnesses
when running in 64 bit on Snow Leopard, it wouldn't surprise me.

The "update" on the Epson site is older than the 6.57 driver release.
Don't use it, it will confuse things.
