The logic of this is backwards, Paul. If *everything else* works with
the drivers properly (including Lightroom, which uses the printing
interface the same way as Photoshop), then it isn't Epson that has the
problem. It's Adobe with Photoshop CS4.
They have other problems with PS CS4 on Snow Leopard, so this is not
unexpected. To call Epson to the floor for it is silly.

Fine. Let them fight over whose fault it might be. It seems that Adobe
has gone 64-bit only and apparently Epson doesn't support that.
Whether the cart of the horse is to blame is something I don't care to
investigate.I was annoyed that Epson didn't even seem to be aware of
the problem despite the fact that it was broadcast all over the web.
Apple techs were well aware. Perhaps I just spoke to the wrong people
at Epson. But I hope they all get it sorted out soon. In the meantime,
I'm back up and delivering a print order.
