Ever heard the story of "do not attempt to stop the chain with your hands"
from a chainsaw manufacturer?
It might be an urban legend though...
I recently bought a new chain saw and most of the manual is of warnings on
things not to do & in fact there is verbage that warns of 'not stopping the
chain with your hands" !
