Maybe ~that~ is the better way to fix the "stuck in Auto" nuisance.
Super glue works OK, but you do have to be careful to use just a
tiny drop on the little white button - too much will glue the
shutter mode dial in one place - <g>. ("Kids, don't try this at
home...")
On the Program Plus, that little button (now wider, and colored
gray) is more to the front of the shutter mode dial, and it's very
easy to press while turning the dial with just the right index
finger.
