Celebrating a friends birthday at a local Pizza Bar last night, I brought my K-5 for the "official" photo. The new boyfriend of one of the group leans over and asks "What kind of camera is that?" I turn it around so he can see the emblazoned lettering atop the pentaprism/flash module. He announces with glee that he just bought a Canon some such DSLR model whose name he could not remember. Pause. I ask "Why?" to which he replied "Because everyone knows they make the best cameras." Followed up with "I had Pentax cameras years ago. I didn't know they were still making SLRs." And there you have it.
