I'll just add that if you think focus is critical now, wait until you have a stupidly high MP count.
2 things that routinely "spoil" my D800 (FF, 36MP) shots are diffraction & slight back or front focus. Downsize the images to a more sensible number of MP's the problem isn't apparent.
