I don't use a Pentax remote. I've got a third party remote, (Vello
brand), that seems to work quite well. I bought it for three reasons,
1.) the battery is user replaceable, 2.) It was quite a bit less
expensive, 3.) I needed to spend a bit more money to get free shipping
from B&H Photo and it was the least expensive item that I kind of needed
that I could find.*
